Remember these? During the nineties they lost their popularity as they started to get replaced by CDs and then digital music. But think back for a moment to the sound and feel of that satisfying click when you pushed a cassette into your car-player or walkman. And then pressed play… Can you feel that?
Or the frustration when the tape would come off and got itself stuck into the spindling mechanism? Or whatever that was called.
The best of both worlds
We have an old car with a built-in cassette-player. I don’t own any cassetes anymore, not even CDs; all my music is digital now.
But I do have an mp3-player, and get this: an mp3-to-cassette-adapter. To me it’s the best of both worlds, because you get that satisfying click, without the tape ever getting stuck. Just awesome!
