Light from a different angle

Do you ever listen to a song and get the feeling that it’s about something else than its title? I love approaching music this way, from a different angle and discover a new meaning.

The lyrics below are from such a song. Originally, Don Jackson called the song ‘Tears’. But I think it could also have been called ‘Light’. Makes you feel the song in a different way.

I’ll keep it simple, I’ll keep it true
All the love I have I’ll give to you
I’ll keep it easy, I’ll keep it real
All the love I have is what you’ll feel
I’ll make it clear, I’ll make you see
I’ll hold you near, close to me
I’ll lift you up, we’ll touch the sky
I’ll wipe away those tears from your eyes

You can do that with many songs.

Try taking a love song you like and imagine Earth singing it to you…
